Dandelion Necklace

Dandelion NecklaceIt's been a couple of weeks since I posted anything new here on apostrophe, but I'm back with a ton of really cool things to tell you about. I was trying to figure out where to start, and because this Dandelion Necklace has been stuck in my head since I first saw it, I decided that it was a good beginning. The colors are right up my alley, and I love the idea of having a large disc necklace—it's somehow funky, clunky, and girly all at the same time! Plus, the pattern on this one is great because it's recognizable but still somewhat abstract.

Designed by Baltimore-based dandelionblu, the necklace is made of enamel on copper and, according to the designers website, "the pieces are created by sifting powdered glass in layers and firing the glass till it fuses for each color." The disc is around 1 1/2 inches in diameter and it comes on either a silk cord or a cable wire—your choice. And since the design isn't pre-made, each necklace is truly unique and one-of-a-kind.
